			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Really, I’m going to start blogging on this site again. I know I’ve said it before, but I mean it this time.</p>
<p>Let’s start with the fact that I lost three pounds this week just by cutting out flour products!  I really do not think wheat is bad for you. I’ve been tested for celiac and don’t have it.   I don’t get sick eating whole wheat.  I think it’s an amazing whole grain and I can’t get enough of it.  Which is exactly the problem… I can’t get enough of it!! Anytime I have a slice of bread, I want 3 more. Every time I have a bowl of noodles, I want a plate full of noodles.  So the very fact that I am deciding I just can’t control myself around whole wheat/ or white flour, it’s just easier not to eat it at all.</p>
<p>So, today I was 123lbs.  I feel like as long as I stay under 125 my jeans will fit.  At five feet tall, three pounds is the difference between tight jeans, and lose ones! I promise.</p>
<p>So, here was my breakfast I’ve been having most days:</p>
<ul>
<li>Oatmeal</li>
<li>applesauce</li>
<li>chopped apples</li>
<li>cinnamon</li>
<li>raisins</li>
</ul>
<p>Lighting is bad, cause I eat when it’s dark, but it’s soooo Good!  I also read the paper every morning. I can’t start my day until I do.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Haven’t been in the mood much to keep track of what I’ve been eating.&#160; But I have made a few changes.&#160; For example.. I’m no longer looking for “reasons” to lose weight.&#160; Because really, I don’t need to lose weight… yada, yada. We’ve been over this before.&#160; When confronted with awesome food, I indulge, because-hey… I’m pretty OK.&#160; I’ve never been one to strive for perfection.&#160; I’m not a perfectionist by any stretch of the imagination.&#160; Because this is true, and I still want to at least lose an inch off my butt.. at least ONE INCH!! Is that too much to task?&#160; So, instead, I just need to avoid situations of weakness… like an alcoholic avoiding alcohol..rather than saying “I can handle it because my reasons for not pigging out are so much stronger than my will to get sick over some cookie dough”… because they aren’t.</p>
<p>Situations to avoid:</p>
<ul>
<li>Baking cookies- should be obvious, but yet I do it every weekend!</li>
<li>Baking bread- another obvious one, because I’m capable of eating a whole loaf and going to bed with a stomach ache.</li>
<li>Purchasing the red light food (animal crackers, Resee’s puffs cereal, graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, Trail mix with M&amp;M’s)</li>
<li>Hanging out in the kitchen in the middle of the day! I need to just hang out somewhere else.. Being in the kitchen, even if I’m cleaning it is dangerous. I see the container of peanut butter and, I grab a spoon, and go for it.</li>
</ul>
<p>I’m sure I’ll think of more, but these are the worst ones for now.</p>

I don’t know if that is ever going to change.&#160; But my current measurement (remember, I only measure my hips), I’ve gone from 39 Inches, to 37.5.&#160; Pretty crazy!</p>

If ever I sat down yesterday, I just wanted to take a nap.&#160; However it was nothing compared to the fatigue I felt after long runs last summer. Just before I had my TSH (Thyroid) checked.&#160; When I had a long run, I was not only tired all day, but I literally couldn’t put thoughts together.&#160; That was when my TSH was supposed to be under 5, and it was 95!</p>
<p>Before the run, some extra food. Egg whites and oatmeal with applesauce</p>

I even went to bed slightly hungry which made me feel like I didn’t “overeat”.&#160; So, for fun, I entered all my food on Spark People, and it came out to over 2000 calories! I was seriously shocked.&#160; For being 5’1, 2000 calories is pretty up there.&#160; I could change a few things, like maybe 5 meals instead of 6? Maybe a lower calorie protein bar?&#160; Something!</p>
<p>My workout- 30 minute intervals around the track behind my house. (photo obviously taken in the spring.) I love the track, because if the kids need me, they can just walk out back and get me.</p>

<p>After Sarah’s, another Protein bar.&#160; These were the best price of protein bars for the amount of protein in contains.&#160; (we found them at Costco), But in the past, I would have never eaten a meal replacement bar that contained 300 calories! It just seemed way to high.&#160; But it hasn’t affected my weight loss in anyway way.&#160; So, I’ll just keep eating them for now.</p>

<p>I’m still 121 lbs.&#160; I know it isn’t much, but I’m 5 foot 1, and carry all of that 121 lbs in my butt.&#160; So, instead I’m keeping measurements.&#160; 2 weeks ago, My hips measured 39 inches.&#160; Now, under 38 inches, in just two weeks.&#160; Mostly water I’m sure, but I’m thrilled, and it feels great!</p>

Title enough? I don’t know what I’m talking about.&#160;&#160; I’ve been up since 4am.&#160; Now I’m waiting for my evening class to start, and so I’m a bit loopy!</p>
<p>I was at the gym by 5am. Much preferred. Especially being lame on the weights, I don’t need anyone watching!&#160; There were still quite a few people there, but not as many people as there were by 6.&#160; </p>
<p>So, I did an upper body weight routine.&#160; (Body for life style).&#160; Then I got on the elliptical for 30 minutes.&#160; Luckily someone left a SELF magazine for me to read. Whew!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You know the saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.&#160; Well, I failed to plan meals today.&#160; (My plan is usually different than my families meals.. for awhile). Anyway, I figured, I was going to be home studying all day.&#160; Full access to good healthy food, and 99% of the time, I don’t eat what is on my plan anyway!</p>
<p>Well take note: Although I don’t eat what I plan, somehow it has helped me stick to the carb/ protein balance.&#160; Because yesterday, I did not!&#160; I didn’t eat any thing BAD by regular standards… the problem is I don’t know what I ate, or how much.&#160; I do remember a couple of bowls of popcorn (no butter.. but needed to snack while I wrote my paper).&#160; And then several handfuls of Pirate Bootty (Yum, Yum.) So, I think I really overdid it on the salt today.</p>
<p>Here is what I do remember, and what I am accountable for:</p>

<p>I must say, I think I often get too complacent.&#160; Such as right now, I would be completely content to stay at my current weight.&#160; Its really hard to stay motivated to try to lower my body fat, when I feel super comfortable in my jeans.&#160; However, I will not give up.&#160; I really want to see what I’m capable of (as far as actually seeing my muscles!) So, it is far from over.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We had a guest speaker in our Nutrition class today that talked about Malnutrition and international nutrition. The speaker was able to do her RD masters internship in GHANA! What an experience.&#160; Something a married mother of 3 in a masters program probably wouldn’t want to do.&#160;&#160; But, with Wade being a Nurse and me an RD it would be great fun to serve a humanitarian mission when we are older to some of these third world countries.</p>
<p>Workout:&#160; I did a lower body/ body for life workout, but I don’t think I lifted enough weight. I’m not even sore today, and I kind of wimped my way through it. </p>
<p>Breakfast: Camera battery dead… But oats and egg whites!</p>
