Body For Life Day 19

Body for life day 19 (Friday).

I woke up early for weights this morning.  But first did about 15 minutes on the stair stepper, just to warm up and read more about Serine Proteases.  But then my friend Eliece met me for the weights.  We did

  • barbell chest press and dumbbell fly
  • Dumbbell shoulder raises then overhead press
  • Compound row and lat pull down
  • Tricep extension and tricep dips
  • barbell bicep curls, hammer curls

We definitely fatigued with each exercise!

For breakfast

Egg whites, black beans, ezekial toast

DSC_1355 Then I had to get to a 9:30 Gold Medal Meeting, after the kids left. So I brought a Kashi bar

DSC_1358 Around 11:30 I had some yummy, yummy blackberries and cottage cheese.  They were on sale 2.50 for 6oz.

DSC_1356 Then I had to get serious about studying.  The problem there… love to snack.. I actually had THREE BOWLS of popcorn!  And TWO granola bars (they did say protein on them :) !  It was not on purpose!

Then I realized I really needed to balance it out with some protein.

So, chicken and an apple

Then for dinner: Some chicken, two strawberries, and a huge pile of edamame.  My kids and my husband kept snagging the soybeans, but I shared.

Sorry, me again

Sorry if you subscribe.  I may just be posting to this blog more than I thought.  But I had a new goal/ idea:

Inspired, but not totally the same, by Julie and Julia, and Jana- I am going to attend every single exercise class my gym offers!  I’ll work out the details when I think about it more thoroughly. BUT, I am a boring exerciser.  If it weren’t for Eliece, I would be running every day.  I just love to run.  But Eliece makes me lift weights, and we are going to train for a triathlon.

So, for the next two months.. I’m going to hit every exercise class Gold’s offers, including Water Aerobics!!!

2010 Goals

I’m afraid 10 hours was WAY to long to sleep.  I slept from 9:30-8:15.  My children are awake downstairs, and I haven’t even gotten out of bed yet.  That’s going to change!  Here are my 2010 goals!

  • sleep 8 hours or less!
  • Eat 5 or more fruits and vegetables per day
  • eat meals! Stop snacking
  • Lose 10 lbs.
  • Study the Old Testament with the Sunday School Curriculum this year
  • Attend temple twice a month.
  • Get good grades
  • Spend $125 on groceries per week.
  • Participate in a triathlon
  • Another half/ possibly full marathon.

Have you seen Julie and Julia?  I just watched it the other day.  Fun movie for a food blogger.  Anyway- Healthier version:

JANA IS DOING IT, DR. FUHRMAN STYLE!  She is making everything in his cookbook over the next month. She’s on the second week, and has already lost 6 lbs.  That is awesome!! I can’t wait to read her entire month.
