Monday is always a new day

My plan was to go into the weekend without slipping up, or having a free meal. It didn’t exactly work out that way.  I sort of overdid it on Saturday.  I had a baby shower, and went to the Food Bloggers Bake sale.  If I thought I could withstand both events without enjoying the food, I was really wrong. Plus, at the baby shower, a girl brought some chocolate cake that she won $10,000 in a recipe contest for!! I had to try that!

I am still sore from lower body Friday workout.  Any time I do walking lunges with weights, I DEFINITELY feel it for DAYS.  Here is a bit of the food I ate. (the good stuff only)

I have got to break this plateau. I feel like I haven’t improved in like 4 weeks.  This week, due to time constraints and trying to get through this plateau, I’m probably going to eat the same thing every day!   BOORRRING!   Not only boring for me, but makes for really boring blogging!!!  Sorry

My body for life meals- Thursday

I felt like I didn’t have 6 mini-meals, but 6 MAJOR meals today!  I’m OK with it though, because this morning Eliece and I biked 12 miles and ran 5 miles.  We have a triathlon coming up mid-May.

So, before the workout, I doubled my breakfast.  4 Egg whites (with mushrooms) and oatmeal with milk and strawberries.  (I think I forgot to take the picture of the oatmeal.- weird!

DSC_2067 Then, during the run, I had another EAS bar.

DSC_2064 Then, as soon as I got home… I was famished of course. I ate chicken, sweet potato, carrots, and strawberries.

DSC_2070 2 hours later, hungry already, I decided to make another one of the protein puddings.  Fat free-sugar free pistachio pudding, mixed with 1% milk and 1 scoop protein powder.  This is one of the few ways I’ll eat protein powder.  I HATE it in oatmeal.   I don’t think I could ever drink it mixed with water.  But pudding and smoothies are my only way I can stomach it right now.

DSC_2073 About 4pm, I ate a whole wheat tortilla with turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato and fat free cream cheese spread.  IT WAS YUMMY!!

DSC_2074 And last but not least, another reprise of yesterday’s salad because I loved it so much.  I had greens, sliced almonds, chicken (2 tenderloins), strawberries, and olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.

DSC_2075 Then for dessert.. I ate a scoop of peanut butter with chocolate chips.. OOPS.. It was worth it. :)

OK, finishing up.. these actually don’t look like big meals.  I perceived things way differently while I was eating I guess.

Have a great day!!

Food addiction

Hey strangers!  Although I haven’t posted, I haven’t given up.  Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words.  As always, its a new day!  I took some more “before” photos of me today and was literally shocked at the subtle changes.  It was a good thing to re-motivate me.

I’ll post a little of what I’ve been eating the last few days, and here is a link to the Dr. Fuhrman article I was referring to in another post.  It’s a must read!
