<p>For breakfast:&#160; Eggs, mushrooms, on a whole wheat tortilla</p>

<p>And if you are curious, it really is 3:30 AM! I had to get up because I have so much studying to do. I’m no good at staying up late to study (always in bed by 9), but I am really good at waking up early!&#160; So, here I go…. Electron Transport chain, TCA Cycle, and glycolysis are my focus this morning!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>They are #1: I don’t pay attention to portion sizes.&#160; If I did, I may break free of this 122lb plateau I’ve been at practically the entire time.&#160; But I like being “full”. And I am hungry, a lot.</p>
<p>#2 I don’t do strength training on calves! I can’t! My calves are already ENORMOUS!&#160; And its mostly muscle, so don’t tell me strength training is going to make them smaller.&#160; They just keep getting bigger.&#160; I’ve never worn capri’s, and I have never been able to wear zip up boots… so I just don’t work them out.</p>
<p> Anyway.&#160; Here are yesterday’s meals&#160; (after lower body strength (minus calves) and 40 minutes on treadmill.</p>

		<title>8 More DAYS OF BIO CHEM</title>

<p>Mostly good day, despite a handful of these:&#160;&#160; </p>

I really took those high points to exhaustion. I felt great about it.</p>
<p>Then I got home and had MORE EGGS.&#160; I am not sick of these. I love eggs!!&#160; This time I put them in a whole wheat tortilla.</p>

<p>Looks like I’ll be adding Almonds to my list of foods I can not keep in the pantry.&#160; Too bad, because Almonds are so healthy.&#160; But I completely lack self control around these things. I have no idea how many I actually ate.&#160; I’m making my husband take the rest to work today.</p>
<p>Here is my list of foods I can not buy for the same reason:</p>
<ul>
<li>Trailmix (the one with the M&amp;M’s)</li>
<li>animal crackers</li>
<li>vanilla wafers</li>
<li>Resees Puffs cereal</li>
<li>Ritz Crackers</li>
<li>any box of cookies</li>
<li>And now… Almonds.</li>
</ul>
<p>So, for Monday- I started off well.&#160; I had a 30 minute run on the treadmill (although it’s gorgeous outside… but I was meeting a friend at the gym). Then we did our upper body weights.</p>
<p>I got home, and around 7:00 ate egg whites, mushrooms and toast</p>

<p>Then at 5, I ate this great dinner.&#160; Some local beef, a potato, and green beans.</p>

It didn’t exactly work out that way.&#160; I sort of overdid it on Saturday.&#160; I had a baby shower, and went to the Food Bloggers Bake sale.&#160; If I thought I could withstand both events without enjoying the food, I was really wrong. Plus, at the baby shower, a girl brought some chocolate cake that she won $10,000 in a recipe contest for!! I had to try that!&#160; </p>
<p>I am still sore from lower body Friday workout.&#160; Any time I do walking lunges with weights, I DEFINITELY feel it for DAYS.&#160; Here is a bit of the food I ate. (the good stuff only)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I felt like I didn’t have 6 mini-meals, but 6 MAJOR meals today!&#160; I’m OK with it though, because this morning Eliece and I biked 12 miles and ran 5 miles.&#160; We have a triathlon coming up mid-May.</p>
<p>So, before the workout, I doubled my breakfast.&#160; 4 Egg whites (with mushrooms) and oatmeal with milk and strawberries.&#160; (I think I forgot to take the picture of the oatmeal.- weird!</p>

I ate chicken, sweet potato, carrots, and strawberries.</p>
<p><a href="http://mom.superhealthykids.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/DSC_2070.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="DSC_2070" border="0" alt="DSC_2070" src="http://mom.superhealthykids.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/DSC_2070_thumb.jpg" width="244" height="164" /></a> 2 hours later, hungry already, I decided to make another one of the protein puddings.&#160; Fat free-sugar free pistachio pudding, mixed with 1% milk and 1 scoop protein powder.&#160; This is one of the few ways I’ll eat protein powder.&#160; I HATE it in oatmeal.&#160;&#160; I don’t think I could ever drink it mixed with water.&#160; But pudding and smoothies are my only way I can stomach it right now.</p>

<p>OK, finishing up.. these actually don’t look like big meals.&#160; I perceived things way differently while I was eating I guess.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just catching up here. My problem in life is balance.&#160; When I have something important to do (such as study for a big test), I can not do ANYTHING else until that thing is over.&#160; All my energy goes into that one thing.&#160; I can never study for an hour a day, and do other things in life that are important… like laundry!&#160; No, I study for hours and hours until the test is over. Then I don’t open my text book again till it’s time to get ready for the next test.&#160; Definitely my biggest downfall in life.</p>
<p>So, Thursday, I was getting anxious with too little time… So I actually only did the 20 minute cardio.&#160; I worked out hard. Sweated a lot, but I felt guilty that it was so few minutes of exercise.&#160; </p>
<p>Then for breakfast… this hard boiled egg thingy in a whole wheat tortilla.&#160; Plus a banana:<a href="http://mom.superhealthykids.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/DSC_1870.jpg"><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-left: auto; border-left-width: 0px; margin-right: auto" title="DSC_1870" border="0" alt="DSC_1870" src="http://mom.superhealthykids.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/DSC_1870_thumb.jpg" width="244" height="164" /></a></p>
<p> Then I drove up to Salt Lake for a training meeting (for my church calling), with my presidency.&#160; I snuck this protein bar during the meeting.</p>

<p> Then of course we had to go to lunch <img src='http://mom.superhealthykids.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . So I got an Asian Chicken salad, and a lemon cookie.</p>

Those pictures are awful.&#160; Here is something I learned from Dr. Fuhrman.&#160; Once I ate that cookie, I wanted MORE treats the rest of the day. I was foraging around the house.. trying to get something sweet.&#160; It was horrible.&#160; Just that one cookie, sent me into a frenzy.&#160; I ended up eating a few handfuls of cinnamon chips (Hershey’s.. intended for cookies), and a few taffy’s.&#160; Those are for Easter and I keep dipping into them!&#160; I shouldn’t have eaten the cookie!&#160; Of course I didn’t take pictures of the stuff I ate on an impulse!</p>
<p>Later though, I had a Kashi bar.</p>

<p>Then Friday- GREAT WORKOUT!!&#160; I met my friend at the gym.&#160; We did 10 min. interval’s on the treadmill, then barbell squats.&#160; 10 min. Intervals on the stairmaster then lunges.&#160; 10 minute intervals on the bike, and then ab exercises.&#160; Then a 10 minute cooldown on the treadmill.&#160; We were sweating hard!&#160; We intentionally don’t do calve exercises. I hate them, and my calves are already pretty huge! I do not need them getting bigger!</p>
<p>Before working out, I had a hard boiled egg and a banana</p>

<p>The next meal I had a turkey sandwich, which was yummy!&#160; And strawberries</p>

<p>Then I got snacky as I tried to study.. Popcorn!&#160; Which I should have avoided. I really want to cut back on salt more.</p>

Plus some rice and corn.&#160; </p>
<p>This weekend will be tough.&#160; Easter becomes a two day festival around here.&#160; Day 1 , fun, neighborhood stuff.&#160; Sunday, Family parties (we have TWO).&#160; I am only going to have ONE free day! I prefer it to be Sunday family party day, because the food will be so much better than candy Saturday! </p>
