My weight is holding steady at 122.5 lbs. However, my TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) went from 94, to 0 on 125 mcg of Levothyroxin. Apparently that is too LOW now, so my doc is decreasing my dosage to 112mcg. I’ll have the blood work done again in 8 weeks. But on an awesome note, my cholesterol went from 250 (when my thyroid didn’t work) WAY down to 145! I feel much better there.
I made up for the extra cookies I ate on Saturday by eating really well yesterday. Breakfast was a fabulous Amazing Grass smoothie.
For lunch a salad with simply
- greens
- grapes
- walnuts
- poppyseed dressing
And for dinner:
- Whole wheat spaghetti noodles
- Broccoli
- carrots
- garlic
- parmesan cheese

I love Yoplait, it is the the most popular brand in my house. I would love to win this set
We love Yoplait in our house, too! Kids, hubby, everyone. I love the idea of adding yogurt to cereal–may try with the kids tomorrow morning.
pick me! pick me!
Darn! Am I too late? I love yogurt!!!
I love Yoplait, eat it every morning. It would be great to win!
We are a yogurt-loving household! We eat Stonyfield and Yoplait. I’m going to try adding fruit to plain yogurt and see if the kiddos will eat it. Hope so!
Wow! I love the yogurt on cereal idea – can’t wait to try it out! It seems like the texture would be wonderful. I so appreciate your blog – it keeps me on track as my family and I continue on our healthier eating journey. My 10 year-old daughter just made the carrot muffins on her own tonight and they were yummy – I was excited when she wanted to check your blog for a recepie for muffins before looking anywhere else! Thank you!
No one in my family are big milk drinkers but we more than make up for it with yogurt! I have to limit my husbands weekly yogurt consumption, 2 to 3 cups a day adds up. For my toddler he usually has plain or vanilla yogurt mixed with fresh fruit for a “treat.” Yoplait kids have been a real find especially when we’re on the go or when my little guy is sick. My personal favorite, Yoplait light thick and creamy it feels like an indulgence without the calories!
I love yogurt with granola and fruit. I recently just branched out to other flavors instead of just vanilla. I am loving what is out there.
MMMMM I love Yoplait yogurt! It’s the best!!!
Hi! – Just found this blog and giveaway. We eat yogurt but I haven’t purchased Yoplait – will give it a try.
I love yogurt. I usually feed my kids organic yogurt. I eat Yoplait. I am also not a huge milk drinker.

I love yoplait, it is my go-to yogurt, and I dislike plain milk as well!
We totally love yoplait light. It has less calories, but still has a great taste.
This giveaway is perfect for us. We love yogurt and have recently taken up yoga.
Thanks
Strawberry yoplait is my favorite.
We usually eat Yoplait too. I haven’t tried using the plain yogurt and adding my own fruit though. I should try that to help cut back on the sugar!
Yoplait rocks! This family of seven eats a lot of yogurt with fresh or frozen berries. A yoga mat?? That’s been on my wish list for three months–winning one would be terrific!
Mmmm, yogurt is awesome! My daughter has to be on prophylactic antibiotics because of chronic UTIs and we try to give her yogurt regularly for the probiotics. We try to find varieties that don’t have too much sugar and that have live cultures. Some yogurts at health food stores are only sweetened with fruit juice, but are definitely more expensive. My new favorite way to eat yogurt is to put it atop waffles instead of syrup! It is SO delicious! I recently made pumpkin spice waffles and vanilla yogurt with nuts in top were delicious! I love this blog; it has truly inspired me to cook healthy and delicious foods! I am just about to make he whole wheat crust pizza and to scour my fridge and garden for veggies I can hide under the cheese–thank you!!
We generally buy plain yogurt and flavor it ourselves. This way we avoid the HFCS.
I haven’t heard of the Cascade brand. I’ll look for it.
I LOVE yogurt and have it several times a week with fruit as breakfast=)Yoplait is actually my favorite yogurt, I love the very vanilla light!
I don’t usually eat dry cereal because I don’t like a lot of milk, so I will have to try the yogurt and fruit ;0)
We love yogurt around here too. I am trying to find a good kid yogurt without the HFCS though. We are just trying the Danimals. So far, my little guy likes it.
Mmm, we love yogurt around here! I usually get Nancy’s, but Yoplait is so yummy, it’d be fun to have some! And I NEED a yoga mat!
Love yogurt and have been loving your Super Healthy Kids blog. I’ll have to start following this one, too!
We eat a LOT of yogurt in our house. I usually buy Stonyfield Farm yogurt, but I would love to try Yoplait through this giveaway. I know a few people who say the texture of Yoplait is the best.
We use Dannon plain yogurt for regular meals.. In Indian diet yogurt rice is part of every lunch. Good to hear about the weight loss inspite of hypothyroid.. I have the same and trying to lose some lbs.
I would love to win this!
I love yogurt. I am the same way about milk, I have never loved it. As a kid I fought to not have to drink it. Now I almost never drink a glass by itself, I have to wash it down with something! I know it’s full of calcium, and I NEED calcium, but it just tastes strange. I do like soy milk and rice milk so occasionally I splurge!
My son and I eat yoplait strawberry yogurt everyday. We are trying to be healthier, its tough. Love the recipes, thanks!
Yea for Yoplait!!
So, my question would be “light” or “regular” for what you eat, and what you give the kids? I always get light, and my husband doesn’t like the taste. The kids don’t know any different. I have recently heard that the regular kind is healthier. Any info??
Yum! I love Yoplait yogurt too! And I have just started doing yoga and would be thrilled to win a yoga mat!
I usually eat Dannon Light and Fit, but I guess it’s time to branch out.
We also do a lot of plain yogurt. One of my favorite ways is mixed with diced apples, walnuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon! For Mychael-Ann, the Yo-Plus yogurt (which is really smooth and creamy) does not have HFCS. I can usually find it for about 25 cents for a 4-pack when its Buy 1 Get 1 free and I have coupons (there are very often coupons in the paper or online)! Otherwise, I just buy plain when I can’t get a great deal.
Oops just left a comment on the wrong blog. Like I said earlier, I love yogurt but hate plain milk so this is great. My husband has always hated yogurt, but I get him to try it every now and then or sneak it into smoothies. What a fun giveaway.
My favorite is plain yogurt where we add our own fruit!! If they don’t like the chunks, I’ve also blended up strawberries into a puree to add to the plain yogurt. It keeps the texture very smooth.
What are your favorite yogurts for kids? I hate that go-gurts have HFCS, and I’ve been searching for some good yogurts (that aren’t $$$) for my kids – they won’t eat it if it has “chunks”! Thanks for all the great ideas.
After trying your carrott muffin recipe and granola bar recipes and loving them…I now go to your blog each day and look forward to knew ideas, recipes and motivation. Its so great to have a place to go to find so much information on exactly what I want to do with my family….which is making changes to help my family be more healthier and happier. Thanks!!!!
(I meant INCREASE the good cholesterol in previous message…
)
I just started following your blog via Facebook. Our family has been striving to eat healthy for a few years now. Each year we improve a little more. I confess, I am not to the point of drinking a grass smoothie in the morning. But we do enjoy homemade granola, homemade instant oatmeal or other homemade things like that, etc. We try to eat lots of whole grains, fresh fruits and veges, low meat products (especially in the summer time). My Thyroid has done the same as yours in the last couple years. In fact we are on similar doses, and I have been having some minor fun with cholesterol. I am so glad there is stuff out there like flaxseed and fish oil to help fight that. That and a minor change in our diets we were able to lower the bad and decrease the good in just 6 months. Enough that the doctor was satisfied NOT to give us heart meds.
Now if I can convince my Thyroid that I am in charge of my weight!!!!
Thanks for your help!!
